RUTGURT SMITH
DIRECTOR
Rutgurt is a director and one of the founding partners of Smith Qwemesha McCarthy. He was admitted as an attorney, notary and conveyancer in 1994.
Rutgurt obtained his B Juris degree from the University of the Orange Free State (as it was then known), and his LLB degree through the University of South Africa (UNISA).
ZAMILE QWEMESHA
DIRECTOR
Zamile is a director and one of the founding partners of Smith Qwemesha McCarthy. He was admitted as an attorney in 2002.
Zamile obtained his BA and LLB degrees from the University of the Western Cape.
Having practiced as an attorney in both Cape Town and Johannesburg, Zamile then spent the better part of 15 years at Sasol, where he held various positions ranging from internal legal advisory to group compliance, before deciding to return to practice.
TERENCE McCARTHY
DIRECTOR
Terence is a director and one of the founding partners of Smith Qwemesha McCarthy. He was admitted as an attorney in 2008.
Terence obtained his BA and LLB degrees from Rhodes University.
